- I believe I would be the best excellent candidate for your Application Engineer position. Working at a hedge fund site sounds like an exciting opportunity, and my past experience with financial messaging standards would allow me to integrate easily into your environment. I would be thrilled to relocate to Southern California.
- I could give you the standard fare about how driven I am, how strong the will to succeed I possess is and how I am the best candidate for your position (and of course, all of this would be true) but I'd rather take the time to tell you about my most fatal flaws of character and why they make me the greatest asset for your enterprise.

- I live by the old programming adage "laziness is a virtue", applying it to operations and security tasks. Too often have I seen many working frantically to fix failures which should have been anticipated and planned for in advance. I do thorough audits because I know going the extra mile to find all bugs on the outset is easier than doing forensics and compromise scope analysis in the future. I accomplish higher than standard levels of redundancy and monitoring. I believe in working hardest to create the most robust system now, because it is in my best interests to do less later.
